In this FREE circle workshop we explore the opportunities at the women’s rites of passage, of birth and motherhood, and how these link to the seasonal cycles and the lunar cycles. These rites of passage link to the ascent half of the menstrual cycle and have much to teach us about working with the cyclical nature of our bodies and nature around us.
Working with these is akin to working with the changes of the tides, and we will explore the flow, the upward and outward cycle, as well as all the wisdom this phase has to offer.
Where: St Matthews Anglican Church Hall
When: 6.45-8.15pm
Date: Monday 14th September
In this FREE circle workshop we explore the opportunities at the women’s rite of passage of menopause, and how this links to the seasonal cycles and the lunar cycles. This rite of passage links to the descent half of the menstrual cycle and although menopause is much demonised in our culture, many women are finding their renewed fire at this stage of life, termed the “Second Spring” in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
An afternoon where girls and women can gather to learn about and talk about the wisdom of the earth cycles, the stages of womanhood, and our embodied cycles, either with the moon or our menstrual cycles and all the opportunities they hold for us. We will craft consciously, sit in the safety of circle and listen and learn from each other, sing in circle and tune in the this cyclical wisdom, the cornerstone of women’s empowerment and knowledge.
